• ET 200iSP is a modular, intrinsically safe I/O system with degree of protection IP30 for operation in gas and dust atmospheres at ambient temperatures from -20 to +70 °C. It is optimized for SIMATIC PCS 7 and SIMATIC S7, but can also be integrated into other systems such as SIMATIC S5 based on the GSD file.

  According to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, the ET 200iSP remote I/O stations can be installed directly in Ex zones 1, 2, 21 or 22 as well as in non-hazardous areas. Intrinsically safe sensors, actuators and HART field devices can also be located in zones 0 or 20 as required.
  

• The modular design of the ET 200iSP enables the remote I/O stations to be optimally adapted to the respective automation task by individual configuration and flexible expansion. To increase plant availability, the station's pressure-encapsulated power supply and intrinsically safe PROFIBUS DP connection (RS 485-iS) can also be designed redundantly                          The modern architecture with hardwiring and automatic slot coding supports pre-wired electronic modules without a fire certificate, simple and reliable hot swapping of individual modules without a fire certificate, and Configuration in Run (CiR).

  Expansion limits

  In the maximum configuration, the station is 107 cm wide and is equipped with 32 electronic modules. The maximum number of electronic modules that can be used per station may be limited, depending on the current consumption of the modules required to solve the automation task. However, up to 16 electronic modules can be used without restriction.

  Stainless steel wall housing

  If the ET 200iSP is used in hazardous areas, it must be installed in a suitable Ex housing that corresponds to at least IP54 degree of protection. Suitable versions with IP65 housing are available in the "Stainless steel wall housing" section.
